Alto Adige Meranese DOC
Vernatsch
A Vernatsch with history, grown above the rooftops of Merano
The 2024 Vernatsch Südtirol Meraner stands for light, fruity wine with character. The vines grow on the sunny south-facing slope of the Segenbühel in Dorf Tirol, high above the rooftops of Merano. From here comes a Vernatsch that shows its origin through fine fruit, pleasant acidity and lovely balance.
What makes this wine special is the story behind the vines: they were planted 29 years ago and still carry the farm's wine tradition today. In South Tyrol, Vernatsch is also known as the Meraner Kurtraube and was once even prized for grape cures.
Ageing in large wooden casks gives the wine extra calm and harmony. It remains typical Vernatsch: uncomplicated, versatile and ideal for anyone who wants to discover an authentic South Tyrolean wine.
The Vernatsch Meraner goes perfectly with a typical South Tyrolean Marende of speck, cheese, bread and regional specialities.
Taste the Vernatsch right here at the farm and get personal advice at one of our wine tastings in Dorf Tirol.
